Umami Development Update

As always, the team is hard at work on our newest title. Our weekly development meeting yesterday got a bit out of hand (it’s usually a 30 to 60-minute affair) and ended up in a game design brainstorming session, fleshing out the Umami concept, dropping some poorly defined features and polishing the ones we all think are gonna be a blast. The result was that we are more fired up about the game now than ever, and we are really looking forward to getting the newest prototype up and running. It’s times like these that make me happy to be part of this great development team!

On the development side we are currently working on planning and documentation, probably the least exciting parts of development but nonetheless one of the most important ones. An extra week of planning could save us a month of development down the road, so skimping on documentation is not an option, no matter how much you hate it.

Better go back to planning before the other guys notices that I’m blogging instead of actually working!
