Christer and the sun
Hello and welcome to the weekly entry in Tumbleweed Interactive’s Developer Blog. Today I’ll introduce another one of our team members, Christer M. Vasseng.

Christer is our systems architect and main tool developer. Basically he’s the kind of person who could think to himself “I wonder what would be the best way to write a real time strategy game engine?”, and then go home and write one in his spare time. Writing tools is something Christer has a lot of experience doing, having written tools to create demos for years.
Christer is 23 years old, and he hails from the city of Stavanger, on the west coast of Norway. In his spare time he enjoys tennis, designs game engines and plays Playstation 3. Christer enjoys a wide range of games, but he has a special weakness in his heart for deep strategy games like Civilization and Age of Mythology. The common denominator between these games are how you can build and shape your own cities, and the world around them. His urge to create drives him more than anything else, even when he’s playing games.
In other news, we witnessed a solar eclipse today. It wasn’t total this far south in Norway but it was still enough to make the sun look like the moon for a while. Our main graphics coder and hobby photographer, Håvard, snapped a picture of the spectacle.

The picture was taken through the lens of a pair of eclipse goggles, thus the shoddy quality.
That’s all for today, be back next friday for another team member introduction and more!
