High score acrobatics and competition announcement!
High score acrobatics
Whenever you work on a project that’s meant to entertain people, like a game, you’re anxious to see how it fares when it’s released. For our first game Skybound on the iPhone, one of the great ways for us to see if people are enjoying it, is to watch the high score tables. And the last couple of days something happened that has made all the Skybound developers really excited!
Earlier this week, we had an undisputed master of the Boss Mode, Andywang. With his 38k score, not even the developer’s were able to beat him, and we’ve tried! Then yesterday, something interesting happened. A newcomer on the list called PierreXG went ahead and got a 40k score. We were all very impressed with this achievement, although Andywang probably wasn’t very pleased. Seeing his long standing high score beaten by 2k points, Andy decided to up the ante, and we got a real surprise when we woke up this morning to find he now has a Boss Mode high score of 55k!
15k more than number two on the list is bound to stay number one for a long time. Or is it?
You can see the high score lists on the two ranked game modes of Skybound here.
Competition Announcement
And as a celebration of our first really hardcore high score rivalry, we’re announcing a small high score competition! The ones to hold the top 3 Skybound high scores on either list on the 1st of march 12:00 PM GMT+1, will be able to claim a special Tumbleweed Interactive prize! Information on how to claim your prize will be available shortly!
To participate you’ll need to be able to play our game, and the easiest way is to buy it here.

Just wanted to compliment you on a great looking game (to say nothing of cool gameplay) I think you did a great job of making it look unique.

My bed times have been all over the place for the last year basically. When I was working last summer I had to get up really early (about 4.45am) because my job was an early start so I would go to bed about 9pm, 10pm at the latest. Then when I went to college and moved away from my parents house my bed times went crazy and I was going to bed at like 1am or 3am and now I’m back home for the summer but working a later shift in my job my bed times are pretty late, average about 1am.
What about everyone else?
